Jacques Cortelyou

Designer

As FCP’s Designer for 13+ years, Jacques brings more than 25 years of diverse experience as a building designer, with a portfolio spanning interior and exterior design, MEP, and civil design. Throughout his career, he has delivered commercial solutions for Fortune 500 companies nationwide, specializing in the office, retail, medical, hospitality, and multifamily sectors.

Jacques studied at Boston Architectural College and Berklee College of Music. Outside of design, he is an accomplished pianist and songwriter. A direct descendant of the original Jacques Cortelyou—the surveyor behind the 1660 Castello Plan of Manhattan—he continues a long family legacy of shaping the built environment.

Jacques works closely with clients and owners to produce cutting-edge designs that prioritize business objectives without compromising aesthetic integrity.
